Casapuente is an Atelier, Sebastian Boado Montero's workshop, an argentine visual artist, sculptor and writer (SBM).
The house was built in 1894 by family Parodi and is located in a corner of Beccar, San Isidro's district, north side of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In 2008 SBM discovered the house abandoned and decided to recycle the place into a space dedicated from and for Art.
Casapuente is a different world. A place that reflects SBM's magnitude and versatility as an artist. From the beginning until today the house has been constantly renewed and transformed, all over its 360sq indoor metres with wood and brick roofs, and no walls, and its 240sq outdoor metres with coloquial trees such as a magnolia, a laurel and an olive tree.
The House is a bridge towards art & nature, and it takes you there in every corner.
Works as an Art Gallery with SBM's rotative exhibitions, invited artist's installations and budding artist's expositions. Is open to public Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 8 pm as a Bar & Restaurant with open kitchen, rotative menu and house artists and musicians.
The house is the main participant of "Puertas Abiertas", a local Art Festival in wich all the artist's ateliers open their doors and exhibit during 4 scheduled days with events and surprises. It also works as location for all kind of artistic proyects.
Casapuente is a live piece of art. And for it, is constantly modified and transformed.
